Twiggy, born as Lesley Hornby began modeling at age 15. Her small figure gave her the name twigs and she was then on known as twiggy. Her short hair cut, huge eyes, false eye lashed,  sculpted jaw line and end less legs were on every magazine cover such as Vogue and tatler. She was always dressed to the latest fashions. Later on in life she also turned to singing and acting. She proved herself a successful actress in television, film and stage. The model, actress, singer, and author is also a humanitarian. She is a supporter of breast cancer research groups, animal welfare and is a fervent anti fur campaigner.

“It’s not what you’d call a figure, is it?” [Referring to her own thin frame]

“I’m lumbered with the name Twiggy really. There was a point a few years back when I thought I’d stop using it and be Lesley Lawson. But every time I was written about, it would be ‘Lesley Lawson, otherwise known as Twiggy’. So my husband quite rightly told me to stop worrying about it.”

“I didn’t really know about Marilyn Manson – it’s not my sort of music, not exactly the sort of thing I would curl up and listen to!”

 Ron Mueck footsteps

ron mueck is the artist i chose, his work is always out of scale to reality. He works very slowly and takes an average of four weeks to finish his work. He uses real hair and gets every detail exact such as skin blemishes, freckles, and wrinkles. He has alot of fascinating work and i would love to see it one day.

-Looking at the picture above, the artist Ai Weiwei is holding what seams to appear to be sunflower seeds, in actuality what is he holding?
He is holding ceramic sunflower seeds.

-How are the "sunflower seeds" made? (please explain in detail)
They are made from porcelain clay in an assembly like almost. Each person has their own job and they all work together to get the sunflower seeds made.

-Would this project be more or less successful if he used real sunflower seeds for this installation at The Tate Modern?
It would be less successful because it wouldent have all the town working together to get something done.

-What is the meaning behing the materials used in this art work?
That it is all hand made and everyone helps to make them.

-What is the purpose/meaning behind this installation?
The purpose of this is to help out people in town who have become bankrupt and to know that someone somewhere made each and every single one of those seeds.

-What does the sunflower seed represent?
I'm not quite sure what they represent.
